Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains what Unmuter does with personal data: when you visit unmuter.ai, contact us, sign up, or use Unmuter through your company, and what your rights are.

Last updated: 2 November 2026

1 Who we are

Unmuter (unmuter.ai) is a service of The Journey Collective LTD. In this policy “Unmuter”, “we” and “us” mean The Journey Collective LTD, a company registered in Israel, at HaNofar 2, Ra’anana, Israel.

Questions about privacy: privacy@unmuter.ai.

2 Two roles, depending on whose data it is

We decide what happens (we are the controller) for:

  • people who visit unmuter.ai;
  • people who contact us, for example on WhatsApp;
  • people who sign up or ask for the free check.

The customer decides (we are the processor) for everything a customer puts into Unmuter: the questions, the voice notes and videos of its experts, the transcripts, the clips and blogs made from them, and the experts’ names, photos, job titles, phone numbers and email addresses. The customer is the company that uses Unmuter. Its agreement with us includes a data processing agreement, which we send with the order, and we use this data only to deliver the service to that customer.

Are you an expert who answers questions, or someone an expert talks about in an answer? Then the company that uses Unmuter is responsible for your data, and it is best to contact them. If you contact us, we pass your request on and help them answer it.

3 When you visit unmuter.ai

The website is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages.

  • No cookies, no tracking. The site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. Fonts and images come from our own domain. There are no ad pixels, social media plugins or embedded videos. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It uses no cookies and gives us totals only, such as page views, referring sites and countries.
  • Delivery and security. To deliver the pages and protect them against attacks, Cloudflare processes your IP address, browser details and the page you ask for. We do not keep logs of these visits. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a website that works and is safe.

4 When you contact us on WhatsApp

Our site has buttons that open a WhatsApp chat with our team, in the FAQ and on the sign-up page. If you use one, we receive your phone number, your WhatsApp name and profile photo (if you have set them) and what you send, including voice notes. We use this only to answer you and, if you want, to talk about Unmuter. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering questions, or steps you ask for before a contract.

We use WhatsApp Business for this, with The Journey Collective LTD as the account holder. For users in the EU, WhatsApp is a service of WhatsApp Ireland Limited, and its own privacy policy applies to it. Our team reads and answers these chats, partly from Israel (see Outside the European Economic Area). We keep them for 12 months after the last message.

5 When you sign up

The sign-up form asks for your work email address, your company website, how many experts you want to start with, and whether you want to start with the free answers or with a call. It also sends which page of our site you signed up from, and when. We use this to set up your free answers or to call you, and to email you about your sign-up. Legal basis: steps you ask for before a contract.

The form sends your request by email to our team through our email provider Resend. If you do not become a customer, we delete your sign-up 12 months after our last contact.

The contact form works the same way. It asks for your name, your work email address, your company (if you want to give it) and your message, and sends which page you wrote from. We use this only to answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering questions, or steps you ask for before a contract. We delete it 12 months after our last contact.

The free blog check works the same way. It asks for the link to one of your blogs and your work email address, and sends which page you wrote from. A person at Unmuter reads that blog next to Google’s own description of commodity and non-commodity content, and emails you what one expert answer would add. We use this only for the check and to reply to you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering questions, or steps you ask for before a contract. We delete it 12 months after our last contact.

6 Who receives personal data

We work with service providers who process data for us under a contract.

  • For our own processing (sections 3 to 5): Cloudflare (hosting, the forms, Web Analytics), Resend (email from the forms), Google (the mailbox our team reads), and WhatsApp when you chat with us.
  • For customer content: the list of sub-processors is part of the data processing agreement we send with the order.

We do not share personal data with anyone else, unless the law requires it or you ask us to.

7 Outside the European Economic Area

Some of our providers, such as Cloudflare, Resend and Google, are based in the United States. When data goes outside the EEA, we use the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the provider’s certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. You can ask us which of these applies to which provider.

We are based in Israel. The European Commission has decided that Israel offers an adequate level of data protection.

8 How long we keep data

DataHow long
Visits to unmuter.aiNo cookies and no logs of visits. Web Analytics gives us totals only
WhatsApp chats with us12 months after the last message
Sign-ups, contact messages and checks of people who do not become customers12 months after our last contact
Invoices and payment records7 years, as tax law requires

9 Security

The website and its forms run on Cloudflare, over encrypted connections. Messages from the forms reach us by email and are read only by the people who answer them.

10 Your rights

You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data, to limit its use, to object to it, or to receive it in a file you can reuse. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to privacy@unmuter.ai. We answer within one month. If your request is about content a customer put into Unmuter, we pass it on to that customer (see section 2).

You can also file a complaint with a data protection authority, for example in the country where you live or work. In the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

11 No decisions by computer alone

AI writes drafts, but people decide. Nothing is published without approval, and we take no decisions about people based only on automated processing.

12 Children

Unmuter is a service for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 16.

13 Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we tell customers by email about important changes.
